you dont have to be a golfer to enjoy it. The most I've ever done is played crazy golf on a few different courses in different areas. However, I do know that each hole has a set number of shots to reach for a par. e.g lets say 5 shots to sink the ball is a par... doing it in 4 shots would make it a birdie. eagle would be doing it in 3 shots. albatross would be doing it in 2 shots and a hole in 1 is doing it in 1 shot.
Anything above a par is a bogey, single +1, double +2 shots and triple +3 shots.

I know most of the rules bc my Dad used to play Golf video games lmfao, a birdie is basically you make it in the third most amount of shots needed by the par (average) of the course, so it may be 3 or 4 shots depending on the size of the Course. Pretty much Hole in one can only be done in one, but beyond birdie there is Eagle and Albatross for making it only 2 or 3 shots. Then you get par, bogey, and worse. Think about Birdie as being C rank, acceptable but not amazing, but you should be able to do it consistently. Even getting B and A rank and S rank (hole in one) is extremely hard as fuck to even do. Depending on the course. With their power on a small course it would be possible.

a birdie is 1 shot below par. For example, if it takes 4 shots to hit the flag, there's: 1 shot- hole in one, 2 shot- eagle 3 shot-birdie 4 shot- par 5 shot- bogey (+1) 6 shot- double bogey. Higher the numbers, the worse the score.
